FAQ
How does the free sample service work?
Order any veneer as a free sample and it's posted straight to you, so you can check the grain, colour and figure in hand before you commit to a full order. There's no obligation to buy afterwards.
What's the difference between Crown, Quartered, Rotary and Burr cut veneer?
The cut determines the grain pattern. Crown cut gives a flame-like, cathedral figure; quartered cut gives straighter, more uniform grain lines; rotary cut peels a continuous sheet around the log for a broad, often plain figure; and burr veneer comes from the tree's root or trunk growths, giving a dense, swirling, highly figured pattern. Each product page shows the cut for that species.
Is your veneer FSC certified?
FSC certification varies by species and is listed individually on each product page, along with its origin and Latin name, so you can check certification before you order.
Where does your veneer come from?
We supply veneer sourced from species across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australasia. Origin is listed on every product page.
Do you supply trade only, or individual makers too?
Both. We supply furniture makers, joiners, architects and interior designers, from one-off commissions to larger trade orders.
How do I place a full order after my sample arrives?
Get in touch via our contact page once you've chosen your species and we'll help you with quantities, pricing and lead times for your project.
